Modern Slavery and Human Trafficking Statement
Financial Year Ending: 2025
BCAM is committed to preventing modern slavery and human trafficking in all areas of our business and supply chains. We fully support the principles set out in the Modern Slavery Act 2015 and strive to act ethically and with integrity in all our operations.
BCAM is a subsidiary of Black Cat Building Consultancy.
1. Our Business
BCAM provides asset management services across the built environment sector. We operate primarily within the UK and engage with professional suppliers and service providers whose operations are considered low risk in terms of modern slavery and human trafficking.
2. Our Policies
We are committed to implementing and enforcing effective systems and controls to ensure modern slavery is not taking place anywhere in our business or supply chains. Our policies reflect our commitment to acting ethically and with integrity, including:
- Ethical Business Conduct Policy
- Supplier Code of Conduct
- Whistleblowing Policy
3. Due Diligence and Risk Assessment
We assess the risk of modern slavery by reviewing the nature of our suppliers and the regions in which they operate. We prioritise working with reputable businesses and seek assurances that our suppliers uphold similar ethical standards.
4. Training and Awareness
While we operate in a low-risk sector, relevant staff are made aware of the signs of modern slavery and the importance of reporting any concerns. We aim to keep this under review as our business evolves.
5. Ongoing Commitment
We will continue to review and improve our procedures to ensure ongoing compliance with the Modern Slavery Act 2015 and to strengthen our ability to identify and address potential risks.
This statement has been approved by the directors of BCAM and will be reviewed annually.
